MiDAS Competence Certificate.
MiDAS is a programme developed to enhance the driving and passenger awareness skills of those who drive minibuses. This course is essential for anyone in the voluntary sector who drives a minibus carrying passengers.
Drivers must be over 21 years with 2 years driving experience since obtaining their full driving licence. After successful completion you will receive a MiDAS Competence Certificate and Minibus Drivers Handbook.
This course can be delivered at your premises if required. A module for accessible minibuses is also available.

The process is below:
- Book a place with BSEL and pay (book the date you will be doing your practical)
- Receive login to do online training and theory test via email
- Attend a practical session on the booked date to discuss training and do a driving session (half a day)
- Receive certificate via email
You will need to have completed the theory and test online before you can attend the practical session.
